Ali Latif was born 1944 in the kurdish town Sulaymanya in Iraq.

He started to paint when he was five.

He was a prominent footballplayer, basketballplayer and referee
of both sports

Since 1967 he was working as a teacher of Art at different schools and
high schools in Kurdistan

From 1985 to 1994 he was Inspector for Art at the public schools
in his hometown

Since 1994 he and his familiy are living in Germany where he is working
 as a free artist.

Ali Latif died on Saturday 18th of July 2009.
He shall rest in peace.
